Vixxo Facility Solutions hosted a three-day AI Innovation Hackathon at its Scottsdale headquarters from October 21–23, 2025, bringing together employees across operations, supply chain, marketing, IT, and client success, alongside university students. The event focused on building the next generation of AI-powered solutions for the facilities management industry, turning ambitious concepts into working prototypes in just days.

Jim Reavey, CEO, described the hackathon as “a real, transformative force that empowers our teams, customers, and service providers,” highlighting AI as central to Vixxo’s vision of an enhanced, technology-driven workforce. Teams developed solutions that advance proactive and preventative maintenance, reduce downtime, and optimise asset performance, demonstrating advanced agent-to-agent orchestration and real-time decision-making capabilities.

Since early 2023, Vixxo has positioned itself as an AI leader in facilities management. Its two flagship platforms, VixxoVerify and ChatFPT, have set new industry benchmarks. VixxoVerify audits invoices automatically, benchmarks labour and parts costs against decades of data, verifies job completion with photo evidence, and even negotiates costs before bills reach clients. ChatFPT, the AI Technician Assistant, accelerates technician proficiency, provides instant troubleshooting, and uses predictive analytics to anticipate maintenance needs, helping assets perform at peak levels. Together, these tools reflect Vixxo’s philosophy that AI should empower people, not replace them.

Jim McCarthy, COO, praised the hackathon for its speed, creativity, and collaboration, noting that complex, real-world challenges were turned into practical solutions within days. The event follows a transformational year for Vixxo, including its rebrand to Vixxo Facility Solutions and the acquisition of Cushman & Wakefield Facilities Solutions, cementing its national footprint and vendor-managed maintenance expertise.
