OCS to acquire EMCOR UK to expand technical and engineering capabilities
OCS has announced plans to acquire EMCOR Group (UK) plc, a leading provider of hard services and integrated facilities management, with completion expected by the end of 2025 following regulatory approvals. Both organisations will operate independently until the transaction closes.
The acquisition will significantly enhance OCS’s engineering and technical services capabilities, expanding its footprint across the UK and Ireland. EMCOR UK brings specialist expertise in mechanical and electrical maintenance, energy management, compliance, and support for critical environments, serving sectors such as government, defence, healthcare, life sciences, and commercial property.
Post-acquisition, OCS will become one of the largest providers of hard services in the region, with a substantially expanded team of engineers, technical professionals, and sector specialists. Integration planning is underway, focusing on safety, compliance, innovation, and a service-led approach aligned with both organisations’ values.
Rob Legge, OCS Group CEO, highlighted that combining the two businesses will create “a company with deep technical capability, strong sector expertise, and a relentless focus on customer experience,” positioning the firm to meet complex client requirements at scale.
The acquisition marks a strategic move for OCS, reinforcing its market position in high-value facilities management and technical services while enhancing service delivery for public and private sector customers alike.
