Irish property management firm Roughty Properties Limited has recorded accumulated profits of just over €1 million for the 12 months to the end of May 2025, according to newly filed accounts, in a result that illustrates the financial performance potential of diversified residential property management portfolios in Ireland.

The Irish Sun reported that accumulated profits climbed by €241,244 during the period, while the firm held cash and other current assets worth €461,042.

Roughty Properties Limited was established in May 2022 and is registered with the Companies Registration Office with its main activity described as the management of rental properties, operating across a portfolio that includes guesthouses, student accommodation and rental homes.

The firm's Rosemont guesthouse in Tralee received €1.22 million from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth during the 27 months to the end of December 2024, with Roughty Properties holding contracts with the department for the accommodation of Ukrainians in 2025 and separate contracts with Kerry County Council under the Rental Accommodation Scheme.

The portfolio managed under the firm spans 28 separate properties listed in its director's declaration of interests, including guesthouses, student accommodation and rental homes across Kerry.

The accounts reflect broader trends in Irish property management, where firms operating diversified residential portfolios across multiple tenure types — including private rental, student accommodation and government-backed accommodation schemes — have recorded strong financial performance driven by sustained demand and state contracting activity.
