Newmark Group, a leading global commercial real estate advisor, has expanded its Property and Facilities Management operations into India, appointing Sathish Rajendren as Executive Managing Director to oversee India and APAC operations from Bangalore. The move strengthens Newmark’s strategy to deliver holistic, end-to-end management services and grow recurring revenues in fast-evolving markets.

Rajendren, a seasoned professional with over 22 years of experience, previously led operations at Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield, overseeing portfolios exceeding 490 million square feet across India. Recognised as a thought leader in property and facilities management, he was recently inducted into the 2025 CoreNet Global Distinguished Leaders Circle.

Luis Alvarado, Newmark COO, said the expansion reflects the company’s commitment to providing consistent, best-in-class solutions across every stage of the asset lifecycle. Richard Holden, President of Property and Facilities Management, emphasised India’s scale and growth trajectory, noting that the country is an essential market in Newmark’s global strategy.

India’s commercial real estate market continues to expand rapidly, with office absorption approaching 60 million square feet in the first nine months of 2025, driven by technology, financial services, and global capability centres. Coupled with infrastructure development and increasing demand for institutional-grade management services, the market offers fertile ground for Newmark’s entry.

The company recently unified its Property Management and Facilities Management lines to deliver enhanced, end-to-end solutions globally. In 2024, its Management Services businesses generated approximately USD 1.1 billion in recurring revenues, underscoring the scale and profitability of this segment.

Newmark’s India hub will enable closer collaboration with multinational investors and occupiers while bringing advanced property management practices and technology to the region, positioning the firm to set new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and client value.
