Irish commercial property consultancy Lisney Belfast, one of the largest independently owned commercial property firms in Ireland, is to rebrand as Ambit CRE (Commercial Real Estate) from 1 June 2026, following a strategic review by its board of directors.

The Belfast Telegraph reported that the new identity marks a significant new chapter in the firm's evolution, with the business operating independently from the Lisney brand as it looks to strengthen its positioning across the Northern Ireland commercial real estate market.

Managing director Gareth Johnston will continue to lead the business alongside directors David McNellis, Ciaran O'Kane and John Coyle. The firm has been established in Belfast since 1974, building a track record spanning more than five decades as one of Northern Ireland's most active commercial property advisers.

Johnston said the rebrand reflects the firm's ambition to strengthen its positioning while expanding its service offering across the commercial property market, adding that recent investment in staff and technology makes the move a natural progression for the company.

Johnston said: "Ambit CRE is more than a change of name; our new brand identity reflects our modern, innovative approach and our focus on delivering tailored solutions that add value for clients."

Core service lines will remain unchanged, spanning agency, lease advisory, rating consultancy, investment, valuation and property management, ensuring continuity of service for existing clients and partners throughout the transition.

The team has been active recently, bringing several of Belfast's highest-profile urban regeneration opportunities to market, including the 148,000 sq ft Clarence Court, 35,000 sq ft Harvester House, 13,000 sq ft Fermanagh House and 23,000 sq ft Victoria Hall.
