Greystar, a United States residential property management provider, has announced its entry into third-party property management in Ireland through the integration of MD Property & Living, a Dublin-based residential property services business, as reported by Business Plus.
Founder and chief executive officer Mark Dunleavy will lead Greystar's dedicated third-party property management business in Ireland. Greystar has been active in Ireland since 2019 and now manages 850 apartments and 1,700 student beds across the country.
Mark Dunleavy said that for more than 20 years, MD Property & Living has evolved alongside Ireland's institutional rental market, building a platform grounded in regulatory discipline, client alignment and operational depth. He added that joining Greystar allows the business to accelerate that trajectory, and with long-term backing and access to global expertise, it can continue scaling in Ireland whilst maintaining the standards, culture and client focus that define the business.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Dublin, MD Property & Living manages around 3,800 apartments. The business employs 38 people and provides advisory, leasing, property and financial management services across Ireland.
Following integration, MD Property & Living will operate alongside Greystar's existing investment, development and property management activities. The move forms part of Greystar's broader European strategy to scale the platform across multiple markets. Greystar currently operates more than 70,000 apartments and student beds across eight European markets.
Claire Solon, managing director of Greystar Ireland, said Ireland is a market where the company has steadily built its presence through investment, development and property management over the past several years. She added that integrating MD Property & Living into Greystar strengthens that platform in a way firmly rooted in local expertise whilst contributing to broader plans across Europe.
