Daikin Australia, part of Japan-based Daikin Industries, has launched its DeVap evaporator range in the Australian market, expanding its refrigeration offerings and completing a full refrigeration solution for local facilities, as reported by Facility Management Media.

The range brings evaporators into Daikin's existing condensing unit portfolio, enabling a complete refrigeration solution for the Australian market. Development of the range was tailored to Australian conditions and informed by on-site research conducted across metro and regional New South Wales and Queensland.

Research locations included fish markets, supermarkets, meat wholesalers, delicatessens, wineries, liquor outlets, produce specialists and ice cream manufacturers across the regions studied.

Kevin Sultana, refrigeration sales manager at Daikin Australia, said refrigeration is an important and growing focus for Daikin in Australia. He added that by adding evaporators to the line-up, the company can now deliver a more complete solution that reflects local operating conditions and real-world needs of installers and business owners.

DeVap supports Daikin's transition to lower global warming potential refrigerant alternatives, including R448A, R452A and R513A, helping to deliver more sustainable and lower life cycle impact for facilities management operations.

With an installer-focused design, Daikin aims to ease pain points associated with installation and commissioning, simplify servicing and reduce ongoing maintenance demands. Optional features such as factory-fitted Carel EVD-ICE models are available to ease installation and improve energy efficiency, whilst Blygold coil coating can enhance corrosion resistance and durability.

Sultana said compact unit designs help maximise available storage space for end users, whilst durable components support consistent operation and extended service life.
