EirTrade Aviation, the Dublin-based global aviation asset management and trading firm, has strengthened its presence at Knock, Ireland West Airport with three key milestones: a servicing agreement for four A330s, EASA Part 145 Line Maintenance Approval for A330 aircraft, and the relocation of its AFRA-accredited engine disassembly facility.
Chief Investment Officer Lee Carey confirmed that dismantling of the first two A330 airframes (MSN 602 and 607) will be completed within four weeks following redelivery. CF6-80E1 engines will be remarketed and leased to monetise remaining green time, with unserviceable engines disassembled and components sold to support A330 customers. Aircraft inventory removed during the process will be sold, leased, or exchanged to further strengthen support for clients.
EirTrade has added Line Maintenance Approval for A330 (GE CF6), A330 (PW 4000), A330 (RR Trent 700), and A330 NEO (RR Trent 7000), complementing its existing approvals for narrowbody and B737 fleets. Carey highlighted that these approvals will improve operational efficiency and expand the company’s service offering. “Supporting our own assets at Ireland West Airport streamlines operations and allows us to assist lessors and airlines with redelivery and parking support,” he said.
In a commercial move to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, EirTrade relocated its engine disassembly facility to Knock, now servicing CFM56-3/-5A/-5B/-7B/-7BE engine types. Carey added, “EirTrade can now provide all maintenance, aircraft disassembly, and engine disassembly services directly from Ireland West Airport,” strengthening its capabilities across Asset Servicing, Leasing, Maintenance, Disassembly, and Component Sales.
The integrated facility positions EirTrade to offer faster turnaround, improved efficiency, and enhanced support for its growing A330 client base.
