Alliance Aviation Group will officially hand over its newly completed General Aviation Terminal (GAT) at Dublin Airport to the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) in mid-February 2026, shifting all facilities management responsibilities for the terminal to the airport authority.
The terminal, developed and operated by Alliance, incorporates advanced facilities management elements, including full C3 scanning security systems and regulatory-compliant screening procedures, ensuring operational standards align with upcoming regulatory requirements effective 1 January 2026. Alliance’s previous management of passenger flow, aircraft access, and terminal services demonstrates comprehensive facilities oversight, now being transitioned to DAA management.
This handover represents a full transfer of facilities management functions. DAA will assume responsibility for terminal operations, including security, customs, immigration coordination, passenger movement, and maintenance of operational infrastructure. Alliance will continue managing adjacent hangar facilities, FBO services, offices, and lounges, maintaining on-site support while separating terminal management duties.
The development required close coordination between Alliance Aviation, DAA, and the Irish Aviation Authority to ensure compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. Alliance prepared the terminal with full standard operating procedures, approved line licenses, and security programs, providing DAA with a fully equipped and operational facility.
Future upgrades under DAA management will include a Platinum VIP lounge, reception area, and baggage screening facility, all falling under DAA’s facilities management oversight.
The transition is designed to maintain uninterrupted operational efficiency while transferring full facilities management accountability, including security, passenger handling, and infrastructure maintenance. Dublin Airport’s west apron will now operate as a fully DAA-managed hub for general aviation, with streamlined facilities and improved service oversight.
The DAA-managed terminal is expected to be fully operational for general aviation traffic by April 2026.
